About

Richard brings three decades of business experience as a management consultant, head of operations and leadership coach. Working across a breadth of industries including mining, financial services, telecommunications, government and information technology, Richard has been an enabler of change at individual, group and organisational levels across global corporations to small private businesses.

As a management consultant with Accenture, he helped many client organisations to enable change associated with large scale business and IT transformations. He established the Accenture Learning Outsourcing business in Australia and managed end-to-end training operations for Telstra for five years. He was also a Senior Partner with Accounting firm Findex/Crowe Horwath.

As a leadership coach, Richard has a passion for helping people find purpose and perspective. His clients are typically one of three personas: the ‘motivated emerging leader’, the ‘leader stepping up to a new role’ or the ‘successful leader at a career crossroads’. Richard uses a range of evidence-based coaching theories and techniques to challenge and empower clients to become better leaders.

Richard is a Master of Science in Coaching Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology and Education, both from the University of Sydney.  He is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and holds accreditations in The Leadership Circle 360, Lifestyles Inventory, Hogan Personality Assessments and Global Leadership Wellbeing Survey.

Over the past decade Richard has held board and management positions with two not-for-profit organisations: Cana Communities and Lou’s Place. Both organisations offer hospitality and care, in places where people who feel marginalised and alienated can come together – to be safe, to be welcomed, to be accepted and to belong – providing the opportunity for lives to be rebuilt. Richard’s roles include Operations Manager for crisis accommodation shelter, Treasurer and Non-Executive Board Member.

Richard is married with three adult sons and enjoys sailing, windsurfing, SUP, soccer and swimming.
